Institutional Development Fund (FDI) 2021

The National Council for the Financing of Higher Education (CNFIS), through the Institutional Development Fund (FDI) finances the UAB project Harmonization and implementation of policies for the internationalization of "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia, project whose total amount is 330,000 lei (280,000 FDI financing and 50,000 lei co-financing from UAB). The project aims to increase the number of international students and academic exchanges for university staff. Among the specific objectives of the project, UAB aims to:

 

1. Strengthen the international organizational culture by exchanging good practices and adapting teaching methods in order to improve the quality of the educational act at UAB;

2. Implement the institutional promotion activities, in accordance with the university's international marketing strategy and digitization of processes and services aimed at the internationalization of UAB;

3. Strengthen the strategic partnerships and institutional capacity for the implementation of new models of integrated cooperation in the university field.

Institutional Development Fund (FDI) 2020

The National Council for the Financing of Higher Education (CNFIS), through the Institutional Development Fund (FDI) finances the UAB project Consolidation and implementation of policies for the internationalization of "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia, a project whose total value is 354,000 lei and 54,000 lei co-financing from UAB). The project aims to create an international University, in accordance with the new Charter of the University and the strategic vision of the institution's management, to: increase the quality of all institutional, educational and research processes, attract financial, material and human resources, increase the institution's competitiveness, development of innovation and technology transfer processes. Among the specific objectives of the project, UAB aims to:

1. Adapt, harmonize, develop the specific contents, curriculum from an international perspective for English language programs in the UAB portfolio but also of the contents of programs available in Romanian for their preparation in order to launch new bachelor's and master's programs in English for Romanian and foreign students;

2. Strengthen the educational marketing policies by adopting a marketing strategy that ensures the efficiency of promoting the educational offer for foreign students;

3. Increase the institutional capacities in the field of educational and related services for international students, academic, research and administrative staff from abroad by ensuring continuous training in intercultural communication, and foreign languages.

Institutional Development Fund (FDI) 2019

The National Council for the Financing of Higher Education (CNFIS), through the Institutional Development Fund (FDI) finances the UAB project Developing the International Dimension of "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia (UAB) is 293,090 lei (276,500 FDI financing and 16,590 lei co-financing from UAB). The project aims to increase and develop the institutional capacity of UAB by internationalizing the curriculum and promoting internationally the educational offers for international students. Among the specific objectives of the project, UAB aims to:

1. Increase the international visibility of UAB, by promoting the study programs in English, the preparatory year for the Romanian language, as well as improving the recruitment process of international students;

2. Promote UAB at the international level and increase the quality of educational processes for foreign students, by addressing specific strategies for internationalization at home and internationalization abroad.
