The Faculty of History, Letters and Educational Sciences thrives in the field of Humanities - Philology and History - in a defining locus.

The specializations in the fields of History and Philology, that the Faculty offers, are, the oldest in the UAB. They fully benefit from the richness and value of the cultural treasure accumulated and preserved in the city of the Great Union, institutionally consecrating, at university level, the special significance that Alba Iulia has for our national history.

The Faculty of History, Letters and Educational Sciences operates in accordance with its own Organization and Functioning Regulations. The mission and objectives assumed by the institution individualize it in the national higher education system through clarity, distinction, and specificity.

The Faculty of History, Letters and Educational Sciences ensures equal rights of access to forms of education for all Romanian citizens, without any form of discrimination. International students of other Member States of the European Union, of the States belonging to the European Economic Area and of the Swiss Confederation shall enjoy the same rights as the international third country students within the national legal framework.

The institutional development of the Faculty is based on the Strategic Development Plan endorsed by the Faculty Council and approved by the University Senate for a period of 4 years. Annual Operational Plans are developed based on the Strategic Development Plan.

The Faculty of History, Letters and Educational Sciences ensures equal rights of access to international mobility students, the activities being coordinated by the institutional coordinator and the Faculty and departmental coordinators.
