Research
The Centre for Philological Research and Multicultural Dialogue (CCFDM) is primarily committed to promoting interdisciplinary research projects and multicultural dialogue in response to current developments in national culture, research and education, within the broader context of European integration.
The Centre’s principal objective is to conduct research and develop interdisciplinary studies that contribute to an in-depth understanding of the phenomena connecting Romanian culture with European cultures, by exploring cultural intersections and the reciprocal representations that cultures develop throughout their evolution. Its research encompasses the stages and forms of contact between Romanian, European and world cultures; Romanian cultural figures abroad and foreign cultural figures in Romania; aspects of national and international periodical publishing; memoirs and memorial literature; literary archives; and related areas.
The Centre also seeks to establish strong and productive partnerships with cultural institutions, research centres and cultural figures in Romania and abroad, with a view to developing research projects and other cultural activities that promote intercultural, interethnic and interfaith dialogue, while highlighting aspects related to tradition and cultural, literary and artistic identity.
