The scientific research activity carried out by the Research Center in the Field of Public and Private Law is carried out on several levels, the research carried out by the teachers and researchers within the center, but also that carried out by students, master and doctoral students, either individually or in collaboration.

          Within the Center, an important research activity is carried out by the latter category, within a Circle of Legal and Administrative Sciences,

          DEBATING TEAM IN  LEGAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES

The DEBATING TEAM IN  LEGAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES within the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Department of Legal and Administrative Sciences, was formed by bringing together the Private Law Debating Team and the Public Debating Team.

The Private Law Debating Team had as coordinators: associate professor Laura Cetean-Voiculescu, associate professor Ada Hurbean, Ph.D. and associate professor dr. Miruna Tudorascu. Main activities: analysis of judicial practice in the fields of private law and organization of the annual student scientific session. Domains: Civil Law: responsible Miruna Tudorascu, Labour law: Ada Hurbean, Family law: Laura Cetean-Voiculescu.

The Public Debating Team had as coordinators: prof.univ.dr.Augustin Lazăr, lect.univ.dr.Maria Ureche and lect.univ.dr.Tatu Angela. Main activities: analysis of judicial practice in the fields of public law and organization of the annual student scientific session. Domains: General criminal law: responsible Tatu Angela, Administrative law: responsible Maria Albu, Special criminal law, criminology and criminology, responsible Augustin Lazăr.

The first activity under the new name of Debating Teem took place on June 24, 2016, when students of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences assumed active roles in  the simulated drug trafficking trial carried out in collaboration and at the headquarters of the Alba Iulia Court of Appeal.

The activities of the Circle are carried out periodically, at least one activity every three months, at least four activities carried out through  the Debating Team, per year. The activities may consist of presentations by students on different topics of interest, lectures, discussions with various guests, study visits, mock trials, participations at the headquarters of various institutions and bodies to understand their functioning mechanism,  conferences and symposia.

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN 2022-2023

THE DEBATIONG TEAM IN LEGAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES within the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences carried out during 2022-2023 the following activities:

1. 25.10.2022 three activities carried out at the Alba Iulia Court of Appeal and the Alba Tribunal (participants: 86 students from the Law and Public Administration specialization as well as 20 students from the Law specialization, 1st year of study)
2. 15.11.2022 a presentation, student from public administration, with audience
3. 07.12.2022 a presentation, student from public administration, with audience
4. 18.01.2023 Two presentations, 2 students from Public Administration, with audience
5. 15.02.2023 Three presentations, 3 students: Law, Public Administration and Master DMRU
6. 30.03.2023 national competition of family law moot trials, organized by the University of Oradea and Oradea Court of Appeal, participants 3 law students
7. 12.04.2023 National competition of moot trials of administrative law, organized by the University of Oradea and ELSA Oradea, participants 2 students specializing in law
8. 11.05.2023 seven law students participated in local dialogue and debate within the Grown project, the cohesion policy caravan
9. 13.06.2023 Three presentations, 3 students from Public Administration, with audience
10.  04.09.2023 at the Principia museum, 46 students from law, public administration and international Erasmus students, participate in the activity Alba Iulia-Smart City, partner Alba Iulia City Hall
11.  05.09.2023 in UAT Ighiu commune, 46 students from law, public administration and international Erasmus students, participate  in the activity Community Development in Ighiu commune, partner Ighiu commune City Hall
12.  07.09.2023 at Aiud Penitentiary, 40 law, public administration and international Erasmus students participated in a study visit
13.  18-22.09.2023 During this period, 25 UAB students participated in the International Summer Law School, organized in Şugag commune, Alba County.
